Vivo is rumored to be launching its latest foldable smartphone, the X Fold 2, in April. The phone is expected to be the next foldable device to hit the market and is said to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. It is also expected to be thin, lightweight, and have a premium feel.

According to a post on Chinese social media website Weibo, Vivo stated that the phone will debut at the Boao Forum for Asia event. However, the post did not reveal any further details about the phone, other than describing it as “ingenious” and an integration of oriental artistic conception and modern science and technology.

While there are no concrete details about the phone’s features, previous leaks suggest that it will come with a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, and a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and a 12-megapixel telephoto. The phone is also expected to have a 16-megapixel hole-punch camera for selfies.

The phone will reportedly be powered by a 4,800mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging via a USB-C port. It is also rumored to have an 8-inch folding panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and another 16-megapixel camera on the outside.

The X Fold 2 will be available in red, blue, or black color options. More details about the phone are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks, and it seems likely that the phone will go on sale soon.
